New tow vehicle

Just brought it home, a 2017 Silverado 3500HD LTZ Z71. I cannot wait to hook up and use this.

Very nice. Enjoy. Is it gas or diesel? What's the payload?

It is diesel, a new adventure! The brochure says 3970#'s. My door sticker, however tells me 3714#'s. It's nice to have some reserve capacity for s change! And thank you.

Congratulations, Chip. Great addition to your RVing experience, one you'll surely enjoy except for 59 days during the next 5 years.... The day each payment (except the last one) is due.....

Nice truck, you're in for a real treat that will bring an "ear to ear smile" the very first time you hitch it up and "mash that right hand pedal".....

Thanks everyone. This truck rides great. Noise is highly reduced, and the cab is comfortable. And the power....WOW! I can't wait to see how it tows this spring. Next week they are installing the trailering camera package. That puts wide angle turn signal activated cameras on the mirrors and a camera for the back of the trailer integrated into the in dash screen. I am so ready to hook up and check it all out!

Very nice. Does it have the 6.6 turbo with Allison tranny. I got a 2013 six months ago and had to upgrade my TT because I could. Love it!!!

Beautiful truck, I'd be interested in your mileage towing vs no towing.

Chip, you and the "dirty max" will be best friends before long. Be sure to let Momma drive on occasion. It is, after all, almost half hers.

I'll post those as soon as I get them later this spring. I want to know those numbers too. Towing will definitely be better than the 6.7 mpg my gasser got!

Will do. So far she wants nothing to do with it except riding shotgun. And picking the radio station.
