Lake Campground in CT

We want to camp on a lake in CT but don't know where to go. We want to be right on the lake. Someone on the Cross Sound ferry mentioned there was a campground they go to every year that you camp directly on the lake about 15 minutes from Strawberry Park, but I never got the name of it. Does anybody know of a nice campground that we can put the trailer right on the lake? We are coming from Long Island and would take Cross Sound Ferry from Orient Point ferry to New London so if anybody knows of one within a decent distance from New London that would be great. Hoping to go sometime in October. Thanks in advance.

We made reservations for Waters Edge Campground in Lebanon, CT. Anybody ever camp there before? I got a spot on the lake. From the map it looks nice . Can't wait.. Ferry ride cost more than the camping reservation..
