No water!

As I can't do a search on my tablet I thought I would ask.
I filled the tt with water, all plugs in and the pump runs but no water
Am I missing something?

Long shot on this but we use water pumps for our wet saws at work and some times the shaft of the water pump will spin off and not pump water.
But you can still hear the pump trying to work its just not pumping.

Hope you get it fixed soon good luck.

It worked when I bought it but it was drained, now full and nothing. I'm thinking an air lock.

Hi Steve an air lock is possable. I had one this summer. I blew some air in the fresh water tank. used a hose and gave a big blow from my mouth ( easy on yhe big mouth jokes) while the pump was turned on. this got the water flowing. hope this helps.

If the inlet hose was disconnected to drain, then the pump may still be sucking air. Ck all connections on the input side.

Likely it is an air lock. Try this. Loosen the fitting on the inlet side of the pump and make sure that water is reaching the pump. Once you have water to the pump, close the fitting. Then open a faucet, turn on the pump and see if water flows. If it does not, try loosening the outlet side and see if water starts to pump. If this does not work, then there is likely a problem with the pump.
I had to do this on my last unit a couple of times to get the water going.

Well after doing some thinking I figured it must be a valve thing as it was winterized.
Sure enough when I got to the pump a valve was closed. Next I went under the stove and found another valve for the water heater and turned that on.
Now the pump works, water heater works and lots of pressure
Thanks for all the advice

I also meant to ask does anyone turn off the pump when they leave for the day?

We do just in case a pipe may leak.
If we are hooked to city water I still turn it off outside just in case
I have seen water damage and its not nice.

When we leave the trailer for any length of time I always cut off the water heater and the city water / water pump.... you just never know and it only takes a couple of minutes for the water to re-heat when we get back.
