Smile Close to Zero problems with 2010 - 292RKS - Keystone 5th wheel

Lots of complainers. But, who has had near zero bad stuff happen with your Keystone Cougar? We love ours!

Been lucky I guess. We have owned a 2004 Everest, 2005 Larado and now we just completed a 3 month trip in our 2013 Alpine. Zero problems with any of these products. Sure there are always things we might change a little bit, but overall we enjoyed Keystone Products.

Same here,I have a 2013 Alpine 3700re almost a year now I did have a problem with one bank of interior lites blowing all the time but took advice of others such as Festus2 and changed all the inside bulbs to LED and haven't blown a single bulb in 2 months and I basically live in my trailer!

Add me to the growing list! As entry level as it gets, have had my 2013 Springdale 247FWRLLS out every month (sometimes twice in the month!) since purchasing it in August 2012. Couldn't be happier.

So far so good with my Cougar 28RBS. The only issue I've encountered has been a drip caused by the quad ring in the Winegard TV antennae. Of course, my dealer fixed that under warranty. I'm completely satisfied with my unit and the service provided by my local, selling dealer.

We are going on or third year with Keystone's "entry level" Springdale 242, the smallest fifth wheel they made in 2011. Other then the refrigerator (that's a Dometic issue not Keystone) we've had no problems at all. Everything worked from the dealer and is still working now. Well, at least it was working last fall when I towed it to storage. We are hoping to bring it home and start getting it ready for the summer in the next couple of weeks, but the thermometer on the pole barn says it's 16 outside and we're forcast for 2-4 inches of that "stuff" Just 40 miles north of us is forcast for 7" this morning and early afternoon. I guess that's another issue that's not Keystone's fault.

Overall, I'd say this is the most problem free RV we've owned.

John,
It's supposed to be 60 here today and 70 tomorrow, with a warming trend all of next week. I will try my best to send some of it your way. I'm actually camping at Luray Caverns in Virginia right now. Hope you get started soon.

It was 67 here in Chattanooga last night. Supposed to be 70+ today.

Now on topic, heater board went out and in, out switch on electric jack failed. Neither of these were Keystones fault. They are components in my trailer. Very satisfied with my '13 Sprinter 311bhs. It is crazy that I am looking at trailers all the time to find something "better"!!

I wrote up a complete review a few months back. We are near 2 years full time now, close to 40,000 miles and the Cougar is holding up great. Very impressed since I know its not a full timers type trailer.

Thanks David, we could sure use some warmer weather, but the "good side" of all this (if you can call it that) is that in July/August we can still drycamp without the heat. It's really nice to have 75/80* weather in August. When folks in TX to NC are sticking it out inside because it's too hot to go out, we're just getting started..... Only problem is, we have to start packing it in for the season in Oct when ya'll are just ramping up for the "second season" once things cool down there LOL

We spent a weekend at Luray Caverns a couple of years ago. Awsome place, and that stalagtite "pipe organ" they installed years ago... If you can be in the caverns when they play it... WOW.... and the museum, now that was something as well. I really enjoyed walking through and reminescing. I know you'll enjoy the weekend there.

Our son lives in Raleigh, my wife ran a hospital in Manassas, we lived in Louisiana, so as much as I want to get started this season, I don't miss the July/August/September temps "down there"

I do, however, feel "left out" since everyone is talking about preparing their RV, getting packed, and camping and we still can't get ours out of storage because of the snow..... It'll get here, or at least it did in years past

We also have a 292RKS and short of finding a small problem with the black tank that was fixed at the PDI inspection we have not found any problems at all except for operator errors and inexperience like blowing landing gear fuses due to running them down to far. That's why this is such a great forum, it helps us learn from our own mistakes. Love the RV.

Bought our Avalanche and haven't been back to the dealer for anything. We found a few things that needed fixing, but nothing that took more than a few minutes or warranted a trip to the dealer.
