Glad to hear that you are going again. Just an idea for you, based on your last comments. You may want to start your fridge the night before you leave on gas and battery, unless you are already plugged in (it sounds like you may be?) Then you can save the battery and run on 110v. This will get it cooled down (takes about 12 hours) and ready to use when you arrive. If you set it to "auto" it will switch to gas while you are traveling and maintain its cooling.

Just a thought.

I will try again. PUT YOUR HAND ON THE BREAKER THAT IS TRIPPING! Is it hot? If so, the fan may not be working in your RV. There is also a heat sink and thermostat that control the fan and they might be bad. If the breaker is hot, one of these are a definite possibility.

We told the campground about the box. Anyone else use an EMS? They’re fairly expensive. Just curious if y’all use one and if it’s worth the expense?

I previously mentioned that I use one and they are a bargain when considering what they do for you. Many others use them and I'm sure they will chime in with their thoughts.

1. Many on here do use one. But most (probably) don't.
2. Not as expensive as replacing all of your electronic equipment and the microwave.
3. Its like Fram oil filters: pay me now or pay me later. Pay me a charge or pay me a BIG charge.

Absolutely! $$$ well spent. Has saved equipment more than a few times at various campgrounds (low voltage, no ground) to name a few.

Here's a thread currently running about surge/EMS protections. Read through it.

I didn’t use one for years. Installed one on current trailer, it has save my AC on numerous occasions and helped me decide not to use a campground anymore until they upgrade the ancient grid.

I’ve never arrived at this campground (or any other) where something was already using my electrical box (the WiFi)

This problem with the breaker in the camper happened 4 times from 10 - 11:30 p.m. and hasn’t happened since and we’ve had all appliances (even a hair dryer) running.

I’m going to guess it had something to do with trying to cool the camper and Refrigerator? I guess next time I’ll turn the Refrigerator on Gas?

What is an EMS?
My guess would be low voltage at the pedestal. In that it resolved after 11:30 the demand would be less os tv's go off, hot water demand goes down, air conditioners and refrigerators cycle less as it cools down outside and doors are kept closed etc. I use an EMS and wouldn't consider a camper without it.

Second on AC with Hot Water Heater on Electric

We had a similar problem with breakers flipping, and noticed if we turned the HWH (hot water heater) to LP, the breaker was happy. That is a lot of electrical draw for both the AC & HWH on a 30A circuit...and clearly running AC is a priority!!

Sounds like there is a 20 amp and a 50 amp supply so getting the 30 to 50 amp adapter plug is the way to go. Happy camping!

Any idea what could be causing this?
If you have an amp meter you could check the current on each appliance and compare it with what is on the sticker on that appliance. You could check the total current at the breaker \ converter box. Check the voltage at the box you plug into and at the breaker \ converter box.
Clean the ac condenser on top of your camper. Then look more closely at the water heater. Over the year's I have had to clean and rebuild a water heater in a camper I own. Water scale is usually the culprit causing heater's to burnout and thermostats and limits to overheat and fail.
Myself I would look at the water heater first. The rest of the exercise I discribed is basic troubleshooting technique.
