first trip planned for 2016

well with the holidays over. The wife and I decided to plan our first trip of 2016.
We have a group of friends who we camp with regularly. But this early in the year the rest have plans. My oldest and her husband are flying out to San Diego for early march for their anniversary trip we will babysit the grandkids while they are gone. Another has twin grandchildren due in April so they are out. the others have job commitments. So we are all alone. We haven't camped many times by ourselves. So this will be new to us
So with all this said.. We made plans to go to Stone Mountain GA Stonemountainpark.com campingand the campground that is there. So we called and got a campsite that over looks the lake and has full hookups. The lady I talked too said it was a good site.
So the week before Easter we will head out with our one dog now. We lost our 13 year old camping buddy two days before Christmas(side note).
Anybody been there and have anything to share about the area let me know.
thanks
randy

I keep thinking about planning our first trip for 2016. Sounds like you have a good one planned.

Enjoy your trip! I looked at booking a couple holiday weekends but have already missed the window for our preferred local campgrounds
