Spare Tire Storage

Has anyone ever replaced the spare tire lift/storage mechanism?

Where can I go to get a replacement part?

you might check eBay for a similar appearing/function winder. I have bought them before to make my own lift when it didn't have one. Many of the ford pickup and bronco have similar style.

generally a seal unit and no repair.
