Slide out seal replacement

we have a 2018 bullet 277bhs and just noticed that the seals on both sides of the slider have torn. I was wondering if anyone else has this problem and how they fixed it. I am pretty bummed because I don't think I should be having problems like this already since its only 2 years old and I keep it covered other then the camping trips. Any advice would be great. Thanks

I would be bummed too on such a new unit!
Have you checked with the warranty or any extended warranty you may have on the rig?

I always check the seals before moving the slides in or out. Sometimes the flapper seal gets half stuck inward while the rest is outward. I run carefully a rounded metal hook tool along the seal to guide it to the flipped out position. This way there's not odd bends in the seals for long times which could eventually split. Also keep them cared for with a seal conditioner.

Hope you find a solution soon

Hey Dalys, we have the same problem with our Cougar. In fact, it's in the shop right now for the same problem again. Third time!! First, your extended warranty, if you have one, does not cover seals. After the 1 year Keystone warranty it's your problem. Like you, we keep the seals lubricated and use a cover during winter storage. The seals are lasting less than a year
Camping World replaced the seals and we have been using their 1 yr warranty to have the work done again. I contacted BAL/Norco and their tech support folks are pretty sure the problem is a lack of clearance between the side wall of the room and the frame of the slide. They like to see 5/8". Our clearance is no where near even 1/2". CW is trying to figure out if they can use a different seal or trim the OEM replacement. This is the second time they've done this replacement on their dime and I think the service manager is getting tired of it costing them $$$. I'll keep you posted with their latest recommendation. Whole thing is a big PITA. Hopefully CW and Norco can come up with a solution.

Our Oshkosh had seal issues when we bought it. Seems the seals had a mind of their own, especially the roof seals; some of it in, some out. After using it a couple times they got a little better. Then....I saw the little plastic things on the sides of the slides and on the roof. I realized they were there to make the seal "flap". I called Heartland and bought a roll. Cut the length you want, peel and stick. Comes in black or white. They're not 1/8" in height, I cut them about 8" long to match what the factory did.
Somebody else has to sell them...Amazon? CW?

I had the same issue on our 2014 Premier and ordered 25 feet of the seal material on-line, for $111.40... free shipping, no taxes.

Seal - Wiper - Clip On - Slideout - Black - #R854056 - Norco × 1

The old stuff was pretty easy to get out, I have not installed the new seal yet.

Dalys1974, were you able to find the replacement seal? The current seal (picture attached) is 2". The Norco seal is 1.5" and has a 90 degree angle.

Thanks!
