Metal valve stems

Ordered some GY endurance today from discount tire and set to have them installed next Saturday. I would like to add metal valve stems but which ones do I need? .453 or .625 Also my stems are recessed in the rims. Discount doesn’t have any in stock to see. There factory 14” aluminum rims on out Bullet

I have purchased a bunch over the years and just tell the tire shop to add them. On the Rv I also have the tires/wheels balanced.

The tire dealer can get the correct diameter for your wheels, I suggest the short length ones in case you add a Tire pressure monitoring system.

I ask the fella that helped me about wanting metal stems and he didn’t seem to interested in finding me some. All that was said was we’re out of them right now. So I suppose it’s up to me.

A number of us members are using these metal high pressure valve stems on our wheels. I'm on my second set with different wheels, tires, and TPMS sensors. I own a 2017 Bullet. They work great on the standard trailer wheel 0.453" diameter hole, same size on your trailer. They have the extension caps the are removable. TThey are used on the F series trucks:

I just found a set on ebay for $19.99 for 10. Keep an extra set as a spare.

Sounds like a different tire shop might be more willing to make their customers happy.

I probably would have gone across the street to Tireman but the $90 in rebates sucked me right in. The guys at Discount are usually pretty helpful but not so much today.

Well Discount tire installed my new GY’s today even with this madness going on. Also had them install my metal valve stems with no issues. Thanks again Busterbrown for the recommendation.
