Cool remote control

Good afternoon all rver's . My question today is; my remote control for my 2017 sprtinter fifthwheel is not charging to full capacity. This is used for the slides, outside lights, and leveling.
It chargers to about 2 bars and the longer i keep it chargin it, it goes down to 1 bar.
Any idea why this dose that?
I purchsed a new cable and that didn't help.
Any advice would be much apprechated

What type cable does it take? I'm guessing the cable is similar to one used to charge a cell phone?

Have you tried any other device in that outlet or tried charging the remote with a different charger?

I haven't run across one of the "rechargeable remotes" yet, but it's my understanding that the battery is "much like its cellphone counterparts" in that after a while, the battery loses its ability to accept a charge, retain it and discharge it properly. In other words, the batteries in the rechargeable remotes have been known to be defective or to fail after a period of time.

Is your remote battery replaceable?

The cable is MINI usb cable. I tried 3 different usb chargers. All do the same thing.
Thanks

I'd separate the cover and Google the battery number. Sometimes remotes are screwed together with tink phillip head crews which may be covered with a decal. Sometimes they "pop" apart with the help of a device that looks like a guitar pick with the corners filed down. Good luck.

That may be the "issue" If it is 2 years old, only charged once, possibly stored "uncharged through the winter" the battery may be damaged and no longer able to hold a charge …. That's speculation, not any "positively the reason" type of "best guess".....

I had to replace the battery in my Garmin GPS on the snowmobile a couple years after I bought it. I stored it outside a few nights and left the GPS turned on one of those nights. It never would charge again after that "brain flatulance"...
