Elvis, Johnny, Roy & Frank

Yes, took my gal to the concert in Hondo at the Raye theatre and had a great time. One fella did a tribute to Elvis and Johnny Cash and the other to Roy Orbison and Frank Sinatra. This was on the 12th, two days after my gal's 39th birthday and two days before Valentines day which was also our 49th anniversary. To cap things off we then had the power go out that evening (14th) and spent 3 romantic days watching the flames dance in our fireplace. Temps were in the single digits at times; next week is predicted to be in the 70s. Today it is in the mid 50s and the snow is almost forgotten. To my surprise, I enjoyed the Frank Sinatra tribute as the fella who did it sounded almost exactly like the ol' crooner. My gal won one of the drawings at intermission and came away with Elvis's scarf and an Elvis hound dog!

Wife is a huge Elvis/Roy/Johnny fan and would have loved that.

Looking forward this summer to our first trip to Graceland and also to the Johnny Cash museum. Booked 'em last week to be safe!

Ha! Gotta love those numbers!! The fellow next to us had told me earlier he had been married 32 years to his current wife; he also told me his birthday was on Jan. 27th. On the 27th I saw him and congratulated him on his birthday. He had told me how old he was going to be but he just said he was celebrating his 51st anniversary. I looked at him and asked "51st"? He grinned he said it was his 51st anniversary of his 29th birthday!
