Campers Invited

We are not wanting to start a camping club, we're just 2 mid fifties, empty nesters who still work 40 hrs a week, and are looking for other campers who would like to possibly join us camping. We dont camp as often as most of the Good Sam members, just a few trips to Myrtle Beach a year, a few trips to Pigeon Forge, and the Charlotte Motor Speedway for the Coke 600 race weekend, along with a few short weekend trips to just get away. Having freinds to camp with is more enjoyable, and makes the trips more fun. We would like to do more camping in the future, maybe you have places to camp we would like to try.

If you'd like to join us or visit us while we are camped, just give a yell!

Pat

Sounds like a very friendly offer. I'm in much of the same boat as yourself except the empty nest part. Still work everyday and just looking to enjoy what free time I can find.

Thats us too.
But my youngest(daughter) graduates this spring and is headed to the hills of NC, Western Carolina this fall. The middle one(son) is back home after a tour in the US AirForce and now is a full time student. So we are kinda empty, because they are both doing their on thing.
We try to camp once a month when we can. Spring gets busy as the youngest plays varsity softball so we cant book any weekends this time of year. Spring break is on hold now due to ball. Played travel ball most all summer. kept mycamping trips down. we ended the year with the least camping nights in several years. this year might be worse due to these things.. but we will see.
But after she gets to school in the fall its all momma and me!

Any time anyone wants to head into the Adirondacks or the NYS Capital Region, let me know. I am always looking to meet up with forum friends.

We're booked into Fish Creek Pond from June 7th through the 21st on Site 150 and we're back there in August from the 12th to the 26th on Site 212. If you're up there, stop by.

We're talking about dragging the Cougar south sometime in the spring, but no firm plans yet.

Small world. I just returned from a 3 day snowmobile trip in Old Forge, NY. We camped at Forestport last Summer. We're also scheduled for a July weekend at Turning Stone. Because of our recent Vantage purchase, we are no longer members of the Heartland Owners Club and we're looking for new folks to camp with and may take you up on your offer. Where is Fish Creek Pond?

It's a large state campground between Tupper Lake and Saranac Lake.

Check out fishcreekpond.com for more. Camping reservations, like all NYS parks, are through reserveamerica.com.
