rock protection for new High Country

After searching aftermarket sources for replacements for the existing rear mudflaps, I could not find anything that seemed long enough to provide protection from a low trajectory rock thrown to the front cargo bay of the fifth wheel. I am not too fond of the brush type units that go all the way across the bumper. There is probably something out there, but I didn't find it, and those that were close to being adequate were well over $100 per pair. I ended up modifying the existing flaps with heavy rubber panels from an old bed liner mat. The flaps come within 4" of the pavement empty and 3" loaded. Not rocket science, but all I am out is the cost of the stainless steel fasteners. It looks like it should work.

bigbendq, Howdy;

Good looking job.
Just don't back into a parking spot (solo, without the RV), with the concret 'curb-stops'. You'll rip them right off. Something I've done myself when driving OTR.
