tires

has any one used the hankook tires. I have a new 383 Fuzion touring edition 11 It came with carlise tires. I now they have a bad rap but a freind who has a tire store said he would not pull it across town with those tires. He said bf goodrich hankook or firestone tires iin a LT load range E

We have a Fuzion 360 with Carlisle 235/80r16 Es. Plan on putting Michelin XPS Rib 245/75r16 D or Goodyear G614 G 235/85r16 ASAP. Leaning toward the Michelins. Either way, it will be just under $2000 for a set of 6. We have too much invested to trust the Fuzion to tires with a poor (or no) reputation. JMHO

I would not tow with ANY Chinese tires. Tires are cheap compared to the damage a Chinese may pop will cause.

Thanks I think I will go with the BF Goodrich commercial. Seems to be a good tire and made in the US. Not as pricey as the G 614 or Michelin. Still a good tire. George

Hey gbsb, double check the load ratings of your Carlisles against the BFGs. It is wise to never go down in weight ratings. I am suspecting your Fuzion has the same tires as mine. You may be doing more harm than good by going with the BFGs.

I just checked out the BFG Coms to see if they would work on our Fuzion. The OE 235/80R16 LRE Carlisles are rated at 3420 lbs @ 80 psi. The BFG LT245/75R16/E are rated at 3042 lbs @ 80 psi. The BFG 235/85R16 Coms are the same as the 245s. The Michelin xps ribs also have the same load ratings as the BFGs. Looks like my only choice is the GoodYear G614s.

Bummer. I was impressed with all the good reviews of the BFGs and the Michelins. The BFG price was good as well. These will be a good choice for those going from a 15" wheel to a 16". Time to save my pennies for the Goodyears!
