Smile ATV's & 4-Wheeling Destinations

Anybody carry 4-wheelers in the back and take off on 3-4 day trips. We're out of the Cleveland Ohio area and have been going south and having a lot of fun.

New ATV rides to take on.

We went to a lot of new places last year and are planning this years adventures: Last year we made Mines and Meadows in PA., Wayne National Forest S.E. Ohio, Rock house of the Hatfields and McCoys trails in West Virginia. KOA grounds in Canton Ohio and a few more short drives near home. We are going back to the Hatfield and McCoys trails and take on 1 more of their 6 trails. We are scheduled for Ride Royal Blue in Pioneer Tenn, again in May. Has anyone else had any really great places to go 4 wheeling within 600 miles of Cleveland Ohio?

1) Drummond Island Mi, around 550miles

a) Trailhead camp ground. Trails are right across the street. Pat and Missy are great people

b) Rocks, Mud, dirt, about any kinda of trail youll want.

2)Deer Park Mi, around 570 miles

a)Muskallonge State Park, can ride right out of camp site.

b) Because of the fire last year the Two Hearted trail was closed, Pine ridge trail is still open. all county roads are open. Alot of rideing in this area.

3) Atlanta Mi. around 420 miles

a) clear lake state park, ride right of campsite

b) This will be my first time in this area ,but we did ride in Mio Mi
just south of Atlanta. this is also Elk and Bear country.

There is another one that I highly recommend but its about 750 from Streetsboro Oh. Watersmeet Mi,hundreds of miles of old railroad beds
trails. lot of Waterfalls, old RR trussles, and old Mines.. If you want I have alot of contacts in the UPer of Mi. Also have a real good source of ORV trail maps, and there free.

Michigan

Some one at work mentioned the sand Dunes which is far west side of Michigan on 94. Haven't Googled yet. Thank you for the info, we haven't been up in Michigan for a while.

Black mountain in evarts ky, stay at the south campground. Harlan ky is another name they call it.

Our group has started a new one called rush off road but campground not open yet.

There are tons around royal blue, brimstone area is nice bit management has too many rules and restrictions this year so I would avoid.

We have a website down here you may want to check out, plenty of vids and pics of the area

I am from ky here and carry my atv in my raptor 300mp. I am wanting a rzr now.

Out west here that's 95% of our camping. Sometimes we stay 3 days sometimes 7.

4 wheeling

Last year we went on a 1 week vacation and found out being in our mid 60's of age and 4-wheeling 4-5 days in a row was a little too much. I hate to say it but maybe I'm getting "Too old to cut the Mustard". Well at least for 5 days in a row! I've said for years I have a 20 year old mind but a 65 year old body! But never the less we are getting ready for our first trip at the end of this month to the Mountains of West Virginia. I have a few more new trips planned thanks to some of the suggestions here. I'll bring back some pictures. I've learned a lot on this forum and will keep viewing.

Silver Lake State Park.

There are a number of full service campgrounds in the area but the State Park Campground would be your best bet - it fills up very quick so plan ahead if you elect to go.
