Spring Visit to Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks

My trip report from last spring. We stayed in two great campgrounds right on the doorsteps of both parks, no problem getting the Cougar in, both had easy pull thrus. could have stayed on BLM land not too far away but wanted to maximize our time in the parks. And man what great NP's these are. If you haven't been to UTAH put it on your bucket list!

Sure reminds me of our 2 week vacation 2 summers ago! We spent a couple of days going to both of those parks. I had been there during my high school years, but wanted my family now to see them also.

We are planning this summer's vacation in the same area, but not sure if we will hit either of them. Maybe Zion. I would not recommend going into or out of Zion from the east entrance with an RV, at least not with a long TT or 5er.

Yes its a little curvy. The 1.1 mile tunnel has a width limit, lucky my dually was a couple inches under, probably because its an older model. If your too wide you have to pay 15$ and wait for a time when they make the tunnel one way.
Zion can get pretty hot in the summer I hear as well, we were there in mid May and a couple days were in the 80's all ready.

Cheers ray

We did Zion & Bryce Canyon in 2010.

We stated at a CG outside Zion, privately owned, but at Bryce we stayed
right there - no hook ups and still some snow on the ground.

In Zion it snowed like crazy the day we arrived!

We too have a blog of all the places we went that year at jjpadventures.blogspot.com

or if you just do a google search for: Adventures of Jeff and Jody
