Wink Need CG near Coeur D'Alene, Idaho

Hi,

We will be traveling I-90 east towards Glacier and wanted to stay overnight
near Coeur D'Alene, Idaho. The one interesting CG, Blackwell Island RV, is booked up. All others I found on the 'net' don't sound that great.

Can't find a state park near the interstate.....

Anyone know of another private park, or maybe something in the forest,
that we can get into and that will have paved roads. ( Won't take the fiver down a dirt road ) .

Thanks,

Jody

Not sure how you are getting to Glacier. We have just returned and got there via Highway 2 by going north off I90 up to Bonners Ferry and then heading east on highway 2. If you take that route there is a great place to stay in Moyle Springs called Twin Rivers Canyon Resort. We left Woodinville around 7 and were there about 3ish if I recall. Stopped in Libby the next day for breakfast and arrived in East Glacier for the happy hour. Enjoy the trip.

Hi,

We are leaving Sequim, WA today and staying in Ellensburg, WA for 2 nights, then we DID find a place in Coeur d'Alene, ID for 2 nights and then on to W. Glacier for 2 nights and after that on to E. Glacier for 3 nights.

This was a planning fiasco........but I got it done.

I just booked W. Yellowstone for 5 nights, and after Glacier we're heading south.....got a week inbetween Glacier & Yellowstone so we have to finish finding places for a week to go to before getting to Yellowstone.

It is work fulltiming - but it is STILL fun!

Thanks, Jo

Three forks is where we stayed when we left East Glacier on our way to west Yellowstone. It is the headwaters of the Missouri river which is where Lewis and Clark started their over land trek. If you have been to Cape Discovery at the mouth of the Columbia River and stop in at the state park in Three forks you will have been to both ends of their trek. Kinda cool.

Have fun.

We went to Coeur D'Alene RV Park for 2 nights,
then to Sun-Suz-Ed RV Park in W. Glacier for 2 nights,
then to KOA at St. Mary/E. Glacier for 3 nights.
We leave tomorrow.......heading south.......finally!
