Possessed Radio. Jensen AWM970

Does anybody else have a Possessed Radio. Back in September we took are trailer to up State York In the rain. When we arrived the radio was on. So I turn it off 30 seconds later it came on again. this continued though the weekend and it would bounce between the radio and USB load. This contained to happen for a couple of weeks then stopped. It appears to have started again. The troubleshoot the issue I have disconnected the battery and shutdown all power waited a couple of hour and power it back on. But the issue continued. We end up turning the volume down and shutting of the speakers.

I have turn it off 4 time today and its a perfect spring day 60 and sunny

Sunny and 60??? We've got 35 and drizzle. Supposed to get up to 4 inches of wet snow tonight and up to 8 over the next couple of days. Marquette, about 100 miles north is forcast for up to a foot tonight... Lake effect snow off Lake Superior. After living with that for 6 years, when we relocated back to Michigan, we stayed far enough away not to face the Great Lakes influence.

As for the radio. There's an alarm button on it, On mine, it's right under the tuning knob. If the alarm is on, the radio has a mind of its own.... Check that, maybe that's all you need to reset? If not, maybe a pushbutton switch mounted next to the radio with connections to the main 12V power into the radio? Otherwise, a "shotgun approach" but that gets loud in a campground... besides, it makes it hard to get the news next time.....

I check the radio the Alarm is off. As for the weather you can keep the snow up there. I would be very happy with the weather that we have right now for the whole winter.

Since your'e still under warranty and are taking it in for the roof leak, might as well let them know about the radio issue and let them change that out as well. If you've ever taken the radio out and seen the rat's nest of wiring behind it, you'll definitly defer that reconnect task to anybody else... What a mess

As for nice weather and winter. Methinks where you live is not very likely to stay 60 for any longer than it will here

Find the remote control for the Jensen and pull the battery. It is possible that there is a damaged or stuck button on the remote.

Thank you

Thank you for all.of the information and feed back. I have tried removing the battery from the remote but that didnt help. Trailer is going back to the dealer on Dec 9th for other work so I will have them look at the radio at the same time. If they are unable to fix it then I will call Jensen. Thanks again.
