Converting a super glide hitch for 8' bed

We presently have a Ford F250 with a short bed. We are using a super glide hitch 24K for our 5er. We are looking into a Ford F350 with an 8' bed. Has anyone ever converted the super glide for use in a long bed?

JOAC,

The hitch should work fine with out any modifications. You may never need to use the slide function with a long bed but if the situation occurs you'll have it.
