I just couldn't wait, I broke the plane

I pulled 2 feet of snow off the fiver roof a couple weeks ago and with 4 feet of snow around the perimeter of the camper and 45 temperature today, I couldn't wait.
I popped open the door, broke the plane and stuck my head inside. Well, that wasn't enough. I hooked up the battery, plugged it in and now going to go in and sit there and wish for April.
Just had to. Been too cooped up this long winter. Coldest, longest one I can remember.

I hear that Steve..... I did the same last week after all the darn snow melted. Must say it felt good.

By the way, thanks again for the suggestions. We're having more family come so we are going to the Watkins Glen KOA because they have more cabins for them.

Well, the furnace works, no leaks, and the TV works. Watched the news LOL.
I have heard good things about Watkins Glen KOA. Enjoy. Beautiful area and the Finger lakes are awesome.

LOL, I did the same thing on Sunday. Was up to my knees in snow at times on the walk through the field. Did not pull any snow off her but opened it up and had a seat.

I'm jealous. I still have 3-4 feet around the trailer even though it was 56 today. Hoping to get to the door soon. Should probably get the battery ready to go back in and look to see how long before I can get to the electric. Would love to be able to sit in there this weekend.

I plowed the drive into the pole barn yesterday. While I was there, I couldn't resist making sure the big door wasn't frozen to the ground, so I unlocked the pole barn, went in through the "people door" and unlocked the sliding door. As I was checking it, the snow slid off the roof of the pole barn burying the "people door" and trapped me inside until I got the big door free and open so I could go around and dig the little door open again.

Yup, I'm thinking it's still a wee bit early to start planning to drag the trailer out of storage......

I went and checked on our camper last weekend. I'm excited to get the season going. Our old tow vehicle drove off with its new owner, so now I need to get the new one setup so we can start taking it out again!

I also had to open her up after shoveling a path out to the rig earlier. Walked around and checked things out before hitting the PRIME button and kicking over the generator. Ran the generator for around three hours under load which also charged the batteries. Did not put on those cut off liter soda containers over the ends of the awning roll so opened all the powered awnings to dry. As I am typing this just remembered that forgot to open rear over patio awning Looked good but real test will be when we de winterize, which will be after a trip in a few weeks to the dealer for her State Inspection.

John, my luck I would have been outside pushing on that door and got buried Season getting close

Ours stays plugged in year round and heat set on 50 ,I go in at least every other week end just for no reason,I start and run the generator once a month and put a load on it for an hour or so just to keep everything in good working or for thoughs moments you may need it.

I had this on another thread but it works here too.
3 weeks from a trip. Weather is breaking. Time to dewinterize. Started dusting.. Good golly so much wood to polish
I understand.
I hate it for you all that are still covered in the winter blanket of snow.
Mine just weathered its second winter under the RVPort. I believe than might be the best thing I have bought for my camper. Still need to add some more gravel under the RVport with the rainy weather I can see places that are holding water until it drains off the side.
have fun

Glad I'm not the only one who does this. DW and I occasionally use the bed to take a nap. For some reason it's just more peaceful, and the kids can't find us!

With ours in the backyard and plugged in and no snow to trudge through, we enjoy a weekend anytime.
Strange how just being in your RV can make you feel..maybe I need to name mine the "cocoon".

I'm sorry for those still stuck in the snow. I'm in W TX and we had what seemed like the dreariest winter with the most snow storms I can remember. We had lows in the teens and highs in the 30's until a week ago (unusual for us). Weather forecast seems to be pointing to spring being here.

We've been out in our trailer the last 3 days getting it ready to go to FL at the end of the month (finally got it back from the dealer). LP tank cover had busted and they had to replace it. Put the brackets for the rubber retaining straps on backwards and didn't put the rivets in tight so had to drill them out, fill them, redrill new holes and attach the brackets correctly. They re-painted the front cap and left white "stuff" all over the place. Had to wash it all off. You know, it was FUN. At least I have it and can piddle with it. At least they painted the front and gave me a new tank cover...can't complain....and, it was over 70 degrees!! Have to stop every now and then to just go inside, sit and dream about going places. Spring's almost here folks....even got doused when the sprinkler system came on while walking across the yard

We are also itching to get ours out of storage, but will have to wait until April 15 because it's buried behind many others in a large warehouse. I have already received three mods in the mail. Just trying to wait patiently to install them.

This morning I went to the local "Master Gardener" plant sale. Bought 5 tomato plants. Planted one. Picked English peas from the garden. Noticed the collards are going to seed with the heat. Grilled pork chops on the back porch in shorts and T shirt. Climbed on top of the Montana and scrubbed the roof. EPDM chalk all over the sides so I washed the whole dang thing. Took 3 breaks, 3 beers. The river is up so the son set jugs in the marsh. Catfish are jumping! Son killed a coral snake in his barn. I've been keeping an eye out for them.
What is this snow stuff y'all are talking about?? LOL

It was all the way up to 40 this morning, then the cold front moved through, it dropped to about 25 in a matter of minutes, snow flurries with about 1/2" accumulation and it's still snowing. The weatherman says high tomorrow is 54.... Whoda thunk ?????? Anyway, get those collards in before they are too stringy to eat !!!

gearhead - I live in TX but I'm in W TX. You sure are making me jealous! Get the collards in and put on a big pot of soup. I've got some homemade smoked sausage from a guy in FL that is outstanding with collards.

I planted too many collards! We're tired of them. Froze some. Gave some away. I need to get cabbage up so I have a spot for tomatoes. Wife wants to skillet fry cabbage and sausage. I don't have a deer lease anymore, so no good sausage!
I joke about the snow, but y'all don't want to be down here in July and August.
