Question Slide outs on Challenger Fifth Wheel

I have a 2006 29 ft. Challenger 5th wheel with two slides. Shortly after purchasing, the slides would stop midway through closing or opening. After waiting a few seconds, the slide will move a short distance and stop again. I can eventually get the slide closed by repeating the process several times. I have cleaned the rails and put a nonstick coating on them but does not help. Any ideas what the problem might be?

Welcome to the forum mcart,

I'm not familiar with the 2006 models, but if your Challenger has hydraulic slide-outs that may be where the problem exists. Check for a possible leak - a small crack or pin hole in the hoses, etc.

Hope this helps!

Had the exact same problem.. The solution is to replace the worn out DC circuit breaker mounted to the wall of the battery compartment...
