Mobile & Atlanta

We think we are headed to Darlington SC this spring for NASCAR and genealogy. Looking for a campground for 1 night, probably coming and going. Somewhere around Mobile and then around Atlanta. Maybe Hard Labor S.P. near Atlanta.

The only campground I have stayed at near Atlanta is Stone Mountain......and it is huge and it is awesome!

Good luck with your choice,

Jo

Yeah, I saw that one. Looks like it's pretty close to town. Also may be a place to stay a couple days rather than just a quick overnighter.
Thanks!

Stone Mountain is a great place to spend a couple of days. The CG is large and maybe not very private but nice with at least a full day of activities. The laser show is a wow if you've never seen it.

Not sure about Mobile, but an hour or 2 east of there are some good campgrounds (we've been in summer though, not spring). On the next page of this forum , Jimbo Beaty posted a link to Dauphin Island campground - probably a little less than an hour from Mobile....
