Couple pics/this weekend

Here's a couple of pics of the campground we did our shakedown at. It was beautiful! Everything went just fine other than the new white water hose was defective and the small fold up counter came apart but I will redo that for a better fit.

Yes. http://www.riverparkrvresort.com/ We are going back in a couple weeks. It's about 6 miles north of Rogue River. They had the cleanest bathrooms I've ever seen. And the leaves were falling like snow. It was great!

MMMMMMMMM Let's hope you're wrong and we only have 5 months and 26 days

We're still looking very seriously at Key West in February, but that depends on if we get enough snow to do some crosscountry snowmobiling.....

Mike
Our fifth wheel is already set up at the "special oil well" as is my brother in law's trailer and two others. On the 14th, we'll all head out there with 4 wheelers in tow to "terrify the forest critters" for two weeks. Then, on December first, we'll see just how well the fifth wheel fits in our "new" pole barn.

I'm not so sure I'd want to be "stranded" down a state forest road camped at an oil well in January with 3' of snow on an unplowed road trying to run 30 pound propane tanks and 5 gallon gas cans back and forth on snowmobiles. LOL That kind of "adventure" ended (at least for me) when my joints started getting stiffer for longer each "cold morning"

Where are you headed for deer season?

John,

I agree. I'll be oon the SW corner of th Grayling Reservation and I know how bad snow can be even this time of year. You never know however, I've (thank GOD) never been stranded by the snow. Unfortunately, the 6 hour trip prevents me from being able to leave the TT there after my 2 weeks.

Oh well. If you get in the area, drop by. Love to swap stories.

Mike

We got 4" of "S***" in Gaylord this morning, out by us, only about 2". I just got an email (mass mailing) from Michigan DNR about the traffic congestion around I-75 and I-675 in the Saginaw/Zilwalkee Bridge construction area. They are saying that I-75 northbound traffic on Thursday (the day before deer season opens) will experience 3 to 5 hour delays. They anticipate the delays could occur through the weekend as more hunters travel north.

There will be increased traffic on 127 and 131 through the central and western part of the state, but no significant delays are expected.

Travel safely and allow some extra time. The weather forcast calls for continuing snow/rain/sleet with highs in the mid 40's and lows in the mid 20's through the next couple of weeks.

Should be great weather for hunting
