Orange covers in Distribution Panel

I have been attempting to learn as much as I can about our new 3791RD. In the Distribution Panel inside the RV, there are a series of 12v fuses as well as the 110 breakers. Below the row of 12v fuses, there are 4 orange plugs/caps. Can someone please educate me on these ? Thank you in advance for the information. Happy holidays!

Some of the newer WFCO power centers are equipped with WAGO connectors rather than DC wire lugs. Is it possible that what you're seeing is the bottom 4 WAGO connectors that are not being used? Here's a photo of what they look like.

That is it! Makes perfect sense now that you pointed that out. There are four 25 amp fuses that sit by themselves on that far end and they are directly under those four fuses. Now I just need to figure out what those four fuses control! They are not identified on the panel legend. Thank you!

They may be spares (not connected to any wires) that are not used in your trailer 12 volt wiring system. I've got an "antique Cougar" (2014) and have 3 or 4 "spare fuse spaces" on mine. You might check to see if there's even anything under those WAGO levers.

Thanks again. I am going to pull the outer case off tomorrow so I can see the incoming and outgoing connections. Hopefully with the Keystone cheat sheet I can verify each of the circuits. My wife and I are preparing to go full time next year and I want to be as Knowledgeable as possible. We sold our class A that we had for 7 years to get this 5er. I knew that unit inside and out. So now I have a new project to learn.

They might be the reverse polarity fuses to protect the system from the batteries being connected backwards.

Reverse polarity fuses makes sense. Thank you. I would suspect that since the converter is buried in the unit, they put them on the board to provide access. If these are the reverse polarity fuses, would there also be fuses on the converter itself? Or would these take place of the reverse polarity fuses that you see directly mounted on some units?

The reverse polarity fuses on the newer WFCO power centers are located at the bottom of the 12 volt fuse panel, between the +/- battery connection lugs. They're circled in red on this photo of the 30 amp power center. The 50 amp power center is similar, but the AC circuit breaker panel is horizontal rather than vertical. The 12 volt fuse panel is similar in both power centers.

If your trailer has a separate converter/charger assembly (not mounted in the base of the power distribution center) then it will have reverse polarity fuses mounted on the end of that separate converter/charger, adjacent to the battery connection lugs.

Great lesson gentlemen! I think I have my hands around it now. I still plan to poke around tomorrow but at least now I have a MUCH better understanding. Thanks again!

Typically, the four unknown/unmarked fuses are for reverse polarity protection. If for any reason the polarity gets reversed (battery cables connected wrong) then those fuses will blow to protect your system from frying other items in the system. (I am an RV tech).
