Can you not just round the corners of the platform? Those sharp edges WILL get you. I had them cut this one (platform) down from a king to a res queen which they did....but left the 90 degree sharp corners which I saw prior to pickup. I told them I didn't want sharp edges and to "trim it up". They did...by cutting a 45 degree across the tips which still left 2 somewhat sharp edges at each corner. Told that looked pretty good but just take a jig saw and round them off - which they did and it looks great....and, no cut legs.

Our Cougar 24RDS half-ton came with a short queen. We replaced it with us one and we sleep great:

Wether you go with rv or residential queen I highly suggest investing in a quality mattress. Original rv mattress is usually pretty poor quality. We put an 11inch cooling bamboo mattress in our 330RL and love it. BTW always set up with the head of your bed slightly higher--if it is too much lower you will wake up with a headache. Our camper has auto leveling system but it never seems exactly perfect. Enjoy your new camper

You can fine tune it and reset Zero point.
