Can you not just round the corners of the platform? Those sharp edges WILL get you. I had them cut this one (platform) down from a king to a res queen which they did....but left the 90 degree sharp corners which I saw prior to pickup. I told them I didn't want sharp edges and to "trim it up". They did...by cutting a 45 degree across the tips which still left 2 somewhat sharp edges at each corner. Told that looked pretty good but just take a jig saw and round them off - which they did and it looks great....and, no cut legs.
