2012 cougar 299rks bed

Hi all. First post. I have a 2012 cougar 299rks. The bed seems to be falling apart. Reinforced the center bar but it still droops on the side that isn’t supported by the floor. Any help would be greatly appropriated.

Welcome to the forum! You might be a little more specific OR some pics would be much better. The bed is just a plywood platform on a frame with some supports under it. What exactly is "falling apart"?

It appears that the bed is in a driver slide slide out. I have never had an RV with a bed slide out nor will I ever so I am not sure if the whole box slides across the carpet towards the furniture on the other side.

I never had a bed slide (driver side) until 2014, loved it and said that's all we wanted (and still have - a must). The bed slides in right up to the storage/dresser etc. Of all slides I've ever had the bedroom slide has never had a problem.

OP says he has a problem with the bed on the side "that isn't supported by the floor". Have no idea what that means. Possibly with slide extended the bed is falling apart in the slide "outside" the main floor???

I ended up figuring out the problem. The support boards on the bottom of the frame were broken. Cut a new piece for it and it appears to be fixed. Thanks all.
