Leaking Black Tank Valve

I have a Keystone Everest and the black tank valve is leaking. I’m going to replace the valve and cable. How do I find out how to order the right valve and cable. We are living in it full time while our house is being built, so it needs to be a Saturday fix.

You just need to know the brand of the valve. There are 3 and 2 of them are somewhat interchangeable.

Valterra BladeX can be use in the regular Valterra

Valterra, can use either valve/seal

Bristol, you have to use Bristol

If you can drop a few screws to gain line of sight then the Valve will be easy tyo identify. Bristol will have "waves" molded in the face of the valve. I would just get the 72" cable length unless you can take an accurate measurement. More often than not its just the seals that fail, and it might worth trying that first.

I’ve cut a hole and took a look at the valve. Looks like a Bristol. I’ll order from Amazon with a 72” cable that should do it.
