Unbelievable Leak!

I purchased a 2015 Keystone 230TRS last September! I purchased it from a private party! I had some work done in early November before putting it in storage! I happened to ask the service manager about a small delamination on the side. He said it looked like the window might be leaking and causing the problem, they couldn’t really look at it until spring and thing warm up!

Well, Spring has sprung... sure enough, that window leaked terribly! The dealer showed me how it was a manufacturing problem! The hole for the window is actually too big for the window... let the pictures show... UNBELIEVABLE!

Not sure why pics are upside down???

The dealer was able to shim the window to center it, but it’s still a problem! I’ll have to watch the caulk on that window monthly!

On a plus side, it looks like your dealer has a complete handle on the situation. It is now April and time to start the outings for the summer. You should be in good shape. Welcome to the forum.

I’ll bet they used the wrong cut-out stencil for the window that was installed. Maybe they could install the bigger window to fit the hole.

Hey Thanks! I’ve learned a lot about RV’s from this and the Outbackers forum over the winter!

My dealer seems really in the no and genuine in integrity!

Shimming the bottom of the window frame so it sits evenly in the opening would also help the situation.

Yep! That’s exactly what they did!
