Roof repair

So long story short had a tree branch go through the roof on my keystone cougar. Had the roof redone and went to pick it up to day. Started looking around and was not impressed. This is our first newer camper and not real familiar with the membranes. Just did not seem right to have so many bubbles and ripples in the new membrane and the sealant job looked like my 4 year old did it. Left the camper there they said they would try and make the sealant look better but the roof was fine and they would have to try and call keystone to see if they would do anything.

Looks pretty bad to me. Sources of potential leaks everywhere at the perimeter.

That’s what I kept telling them. They said they could show me new ones that looked like mine as well. I stood there and pointed out 3 right next to it that did not look like mine.

The "rippling" where the dicor is is normal when you use it on that type of roof. The voids are not and the one picture of the corner is poor workmanship.

IF it were me, I would let the dealership know I wasn't happy, get a tube of self leveling Dicor ( about $8.00) and fill in the voids along with a new smooth layer over the corner. afgter that I might not want to use their service department.

As far as the picture showing some uneven roof membrane, its normal when the old roof membrane is torn off and new decking isnt installed. Its not going to affect the performance of the roofing.

Will the ripples in the membrane cause any problems for the future. That’s one of my worries specially the big ones in the corners on the front. They said they would fix the sealant on the front and back. It’s still there I did not want to have it leave the lot with some of the problems.

The membrane they use on the camper is very thin and shows ever Deficiency the ripples will go down once the caulking cures. I would definitely get a tube of self leveling decor and touch up any voids. I just roof my friends last weekend but we used 60 mil tpo commercial grade. If you don’t mined me asking how much did they charge for the new roof?

Was about 10k with the new interior ceiling panel replacement as well. Hopefully they fix the sealant they have to fix a few other problems on the inside as well. The trim was damaged and not replaced when they took it apart. Was insurance because of a snow storm that took out a branch on one of our trees.
