Welcome to the forums!
FYI, we are located midway between Anderson and Lapel just off West 53rd street (Anderson), (300 West) so, actually, you are literally, just up the road from us. We go to Wall Mart all the time and have friends that live just beyond the Casino. So we are in your neck of the wood.
Like you we really enjoy the Indiana Parks. We've been camping Indiana Parks for quite a while and have camped in every Indiana State Park and State Recreation area that has a campground. Of course, it took us many years of week-end trips and vacation time to do this. And those that don't offer campgrounds, we've visited as days-guests. I finally hit 65 years old this year and was able to get the DNR annual pass for only $25 this year! Getting the DNR pass has always paid for itself. But this year, it's REALLY paid for itself over and over already.
We are currently at Brown County State Park right now. We've been here since last Friday and will leave this coming Sunday (9 nights). We're in the "A" section. Nice and flat! (one of the very few we've had in Indiana).
My wife's FaceBook popped up this morning and reminded her that exactly 4 years ago we were at Brown County State Park on Taylor Ridge. I found one of the photos, August 13, 2020. I remember it rained and rained and rained while we were there:
But, all the Indiana Parks are great!
