Black water tank issue

Hello everyone. I have a 2012 Raptor 410LEV toy hauler. It has the extreme temp insulation on the bottom so it is sealed underneath. After coming home from a long weekend out in the So Cal desert I discovered black water leaking out of the bottom on the RV. Not a good sign I know. I am just asking if anyone has had a issue with tanks cracking or maybe just a fitting coming loose. Either way I have to take the bottom weather panel off. I just wanted to get an idea want I have to look forward to.

I had a small leak also. What I found was that they had used a hose clamp on the gray water tank connection but not on the black water connection, it was just a tight slip fit joint. I put a hose clamp on it and that fixed it.

Over time, we have had a broken black tank valve which was leaking, and another time our grey tank developed a crack on the bottom of the tank. These tanks are made of ABS plastic and Keystone does not see the need to fully support the tanks like the tank manufacturers suggest. Until you drop the coroplast belly material and take a look, you will not know what you are getting into. Prior to starting work, you will find it best to rinse and drain the tank as well as you can to avoid dealing with a nasty situation any more than is necessary.

As previously stated until you drop that coroplast material hard to tell exactly where it is leaking. Be prepared for a shock when you see the quality of insulation . Think mine is called something similar to polar or ..........

As far as the tank I have had a tank replaced cracked along the top edge. according to tech he has seen a few. Replaced under extended warranty.
