Sitting here in the TT, East Tawas Mi, which is our last weekend at the CC we store at in the winter before we start going all over the place camping.... Having a few cold pops with the the DW, (well me anyway and maybe a few ghosts) train coming through town real slow, on the way to Alpena, Mi. Little dog getting the bed all warm, little bit of rain falling, temp outside around 43, inside a balmy 67. I really can't think of doing anything else at the moment....

Sounds like what I would rather be doing. But duty calls, gotta go to work and introduce 3 customers to their new home on wheels, fix a '15 bullet and get 2 more ready to meet their new owners.

I know exactly where that is. I have family members who have been going there since 1968.
Now that was when it was a third of its size with gravel roads, mostly tents and no full hookups.
Enjoy your weekend.

Sounds good. A balmy 88 here yesterday. So are you and those haunters getting along now? Did you bring them some "good" spirits?

JetFixer will know better but I've never been to RMNP that there's not snow or something at the higher elevations. Estes Park is a different matter. Just go prepared and if you're not going to spend a lot of time at the park (higher elevations) then clothing/gear won't be as critical.

Yikes
We will be in the Junction Creek camp ground, near Durango, starting the 15th... might need to bring more than one spare bottle of propane and a whole lot more alcohol.
Hopefully it will warm up a bit.

Durango and Denver are a long way apart. Durango elev. is about 6500 if I recall but it's sort of arid/low mountain stuff...but there's tall stuff all around.
We have been there in June many times and the weather should be nice. You might get a little cold front but it should be good.
We will be in Pagosa on June 3 for a month and I expect it to be really nice......and looking forward to some trout dinners!! Have fun!

Thanks,
I checked and the campground is at 7300 feet.
Junction Creek Campground
We were the the Collegiate Peaks Campground a couple of years ago, west of Buena Vista, a week later in May and there was still a little snow on the ground and it snowed on us one day. The Cottonwood pass had just opened the previous weekend.
Just need to pack appropriately and keep in mind it is camping and so much better than working
