Where to get gelcoat "touchup"?
I noticed a couple of scratches on our 26BRS & would like to get some gelcoat "touch-up" to fix; can anyone point me at a source please?

You might try some of the larger RV dealership parts/supplies in your area, or automotive & marine supplies. Meguiar's (brand) has a whole line of repair/restoration products... maybe check into those too.
A quick Google search found these:
http://www.boatersland.com/repairkits.html
http://www.defender.com/product.jsp?...6686&id=755339
Hopefully someone here will have 'first-hand' suggestions for you.

Touch-up Gelcoat
Thanx for the suggestions, I'll check 'em out. The manufacturer refers me back to the dealer, & the dealer wants to rape me for the touch-up; "we have to re-do the entire side, it'll cost $$$$$$$$$$" . . .

Another good source of gelcoat repair products is the West Marine Catalogue. They put out their own repair compounds and kits . Evercoat is another product West Coast Marine sells at their nationwide stores.
(see their website:::: www.westcoastmarine.com)
For fiberglass and gelcoat supplies, your best bet is a marine store.

EarlJr, This may sound silly but, do you have gell-coat or Filon sides. You may find the repair product is different. If you repair Filon with gell-coat it will be noticeably smoother. JM2˘, Hank

Filon® is made by Crane Co. http://www.craneco.com/Profile/73/Filon.html
Every link I have found for the repair of their product seems to bad. Perhaps contacting their customer service will help. Because of how thin the actual product is, I would be concerned (and some are textured) that the repair would be noticeable if the right repair procedure was not followed.

If the damage was small enough, I might consider it a good location for another Good Sam decal.
