Gen-Y users

Good morning campers: looking for anybody that has a Gen-Y Executive gooseneck hitch that is willing to share their experiences. Use MorRyde for about 6 yrs on previous longer/heavier Mountaineer and it worked well for chucking but I think Gen-Y will be much better for bouncing. 2022 Montana HC 295 is shorter/lighter.

OBTW: comparing to Goosebox.

Please PM and I'll give phone #.

Thanks for any help.

Jack

I have no experience with the GenY but you might consider the Lippert frame warranty before purchasing. So far as we all know the only hitching options they will consider as viable in the event of a frame warranty issue are a standard 5th wheel hitch or the Goose Box. Anything else voids their warranty. If it were me I would contact Lippert directly for confirmation before buying. YMMV

Yeah at this point I would just play the game with Lippert and the warranty on a new 5th.
I debated between the GEN Y and Goosebox. Went with Goosebox based on RV shop recommendations. I was out of warranty so that was a moot point.

Supposedly, at least for the Alliance version of the Lippert frames, Lippert has said that using a Gen Y hitch will not void any part of their warranty. I do not know if that would be different for Keystone camper on a Lippert frame.

I do know that I’m getting a little tired of removing our current hitch every time I need to take the gooseneck horse trailer in summer, so I’m going to look at a Gen Y hitch also.
