Battery Draining

I have a 2015 Bullet Premier travel trailer (19ft). Trying to prepare for some boondocking. I have two 12v lead acid batteries (flooded) that appear to be in good shape (tested all cells). When on shore power, our electric management system indicates the trailer is pulling 2 amps continuously (with everything turned off). Is this normal? When running only on battery and not using anything but the fridge (on propane), AND connected to a 100W solar panel on a sunny day, the battery runs down from ~13 volts fully charged to 12.2 volts in about 24 hours. We disconnected the stereo so nothing but the very basics (CO2 detector, blue indicator lights on two 12v plugs) should be drawing power. We are not running lights, pump, fans at all. I'm assuming this is not normal since many people boondock for multiple days. How can I determine what is drawing my battery down so quickly?

I would suggest you install a battery monitor such as the Victron Smart Shunt or the BMV-712. if you want to boondock you really need to know what your consumption is. BTW there are cheaper options than Victron, but I like the Bluetooth to my cellphone and the integration with a Victron Bluetooth solar charge controller as well.

But even before that, I suggest pulling your batteries out and take them to an auto parts store and have them load tested.

Two amps is nothing, the solar should provide that much. You say you tested each cell on the batteries, not sure how you tested them, did you load test them? It actually sounds like bad batteries to me. With two batteries, you should have at least 150 amp hours or more depending on the size. That’s at least 75 before they get down to 50% That should last quite a while if the batteries are good.

A 100 watt panel isn’t much. You might also check for cooling fans on the fridge, as these will drain the batteries very fast. Also, just because the batteries test OK, how old are they and what size and are they a matching pair installed new at the same time?
