trouble with furnace
Got a problem w/ mine Atwood model 8335-IV-DCLP L/O in 38' rear living room Montana. I left mine cats alone for 4 days while I drove down to AR. They broke into space where furnace is to hide. Now I no longer get hot air to the kitchen/ living room. Furnace blower comes on, and I can feel the cold air blowing threw the vent in floor. But as soon as turns hot, I loose air pressure. Have jury-rigged a band-aid solution for now. By restricting air flow to bedroom, that gives me a little heat in living room. Checked run for blockages, and everything is connected. I am at a lost what my cats did to break the 2 year old furnace. It worked fine before I left. Any ideas?

Have you checked all the ductwork at the furnace?

Can you remove the return grill or take a drawer out to get a better look?

I have removed return grill air sprayed that and top filter. Haven't pulled out unit to look internally due to crappy weather.

I’d suspect the ducts are either disconnected or split
Either that or there is a door or panel that got knocked off the furnace (doubtful though)
Last possibility is something blocking the return at the furnace or collapsed return duct…I haven’t looked at mine but thought they were open return plenums with no filter

I'm guessing the "top filter" is the a/c unit. Furnace is running but one area is cold. I'd guess the cats either clawed open the ductwork somewhere or knocked a duct hose off.

trouble with furance
Sorry about the late reply. Return vent is located at top of furnace, I gave that a good blast of compressed air to clean. Check pipes, and they looked good. Got some, "warm" weather this weekend. Going to open up front, and look around. If I don't find anything. I am going to pull pipe off and see if insulation tape is hiding anything. Thank you for all the suggestions. I will hopefully get to the bottom of it on Sat.
