Getting ready to do cross country trip in Keystone Outback Ultra Lite 260UML. Just picked up travel trailer in June. Rolling in May 2022. Lots of questions that you all can help me with. First one is the trailer is solar ready? What exactly does that mean? Are there panels that I buy that just plug in ready to go?

Welcome from Utah
Hard to know much about your trailer from your info. Is it new, '21 '22?
Some of the newer trailers were set up as solar ready which meant there was just a solar port installed usually at the front of the unit by the batteries where you could plug in a solar kit. Kits consisted of the panels and a controller.
Other trailers were equipped with the "OTG" Off the Grid package. Pretty sure the seller would have mentioned the OTG package since it is a complete set up including panels, controller, inverter and several plugs wired to the inverter.

KP15, First thing I would suggest if you have a lot of questions is to go to the UserCP and create and save a signature with the year, make and model of camper and same for your tow vehicle. This will allow those who respond to do it with some context. I have no idea how to answer as you didn't mention the year of the trailer and please see where this is going... Good luck and your trip sounds like an adventure!

Congrats on your new Outback. I think "solar ready" means there is a plug available so you can plug in a solar panel, like one of those self-standing bi-fold storable panels that are already self contained.

If you want to install panels permanently on your roof, you'll have much more electronics to deal with.
