Truck stops overnight

Would anyone have tips to share regarding overnighting in truck stops or Walmart parking lots? Safety, security concerns, courtesies to observe.

Thanks.

We have overnighted in Pilot/Flying Jr's. We always went inside and asked if it was ok and where would they like us to park. We were never told no. The problem was they are noisy! We also have stayed at Cracker Barrel. Not as noisy but did not feel as secure.

We have just gotten to the point where we find a campground and pull in for the night. We can usually find one that's not too far off our route. Quiet and secure with hookups!

Scott, this topic was just covered very well in this https://www.keystoneforums.com/forum...hlight=Walmart thread. Entertaining and will probably tell you what you want to know.

Here's another option. https://freecampsites.net/
Depending on the size of your RV, the campsites offered on this app can work quite well.
Just enter the city or area you'd like info on and the app comes up with several free as well as paid options and includes GPS coordinates. The campsites are user rated and described in some detail so you can determine if they suit your needs. We use Google Earth in conjunction with the app to overview the sites as a pre-trip planning tool to determine possible stopping/camping spots.
