PerchVille

Heading up to East Tawas Mi this coming Thursday evening( -9 degrees) for the annual Perchville USA weekend in town. Lots of fun, chili cook off, parade and snow machine races on the bay, beer tent and all that. Fun for all ages. They just got hit with 12+ inches of snow, so it will be great peering out of the windows in our toasty trailer, enjoying a dram of some fine Bourbon and looking at all the freshly falling white stuff after a day enjoying the perchites!!!

Well all righty then....I guess we'll get your up close and personal description of the polar bear swim before the week-end is over? Man, I'm cold just thinking about it!
DO have a good time and fill us in on the activities when you return.

We camped in Tawas last summer. Really enjoyed our time there.

With -11 F in the forecast this week - no thanks.

Have a great time and be careful.

-9 degrees? 12 inches of snow? Hope you have a great time and fun in the "polar plunch"! Let us know how it goes when your appendages aren't blue and can move again.

We lived in Harrisville for 12 years. It is surprising to me that the lake Huron coast, "The Sunrise side", is not more popular. The whole coast is an outdoor paradise really. Canoeing, hiking, boating, fishing, hunting. Everything. Harrisville State Park is a great park. Tawas area has the city park which you can't beat. All the way up to Cheboygan there is wonderful camping. Can't stand the cold up there any more though so we came south. Love it in East TN now too.

Your so right about all you said. We are going to Harrisville SP 1st weekend in May when we pull our TT out of city park for the summer. Tawas point SP is a good one also. DW lived in Greenbush for many years when she was growing up... glad the east coast is still natural for many miles.
