Slide out cable guide

The guide is 1/2 snap in Romex connection. I drummel it in half and cut out some to make it smaller the squeeze and pushed in. I'll look for 3/8 that would probably be less work fitting

Any chance you can post a picture of some Romex before you install it.

A stainless steel cable vs. PVC "bushing" sliding through it = PVC loses. Nice try but it was doomed from the beginning.....sorry!

His point is that the aluminum is already losing, like it is in many of our RVs (mine included). Better to take it out on easily replace PVC.

Slide out cable guide

I've been following a number of threads about this problem as also have it!
After re-adjusting the Acu Slide's cables and leveling the Cougar 299 with raising blocks I'm hoping it won't get any worse. The cable / hole issues only seamed to appear after the 5er is towed by our higher bed Chevy 2500HD.
It was previously pulled level by a 2000 Chev dually.
The 5er has almost no use yet all the cable adjusting nuts were loose. Also added lock nuts.
Cheers
Jon
