Cougar 22mls tank heater switch

Does anyone know if the tank heaters just stay on in the Cougar half ton 22mls? No one at the dealer can really answer this. We don't be see a switch anywhere!

Welcome to the forum

IF your coach does in fact have tank heaters then there is a switch somewhere. They are 12V heating pads glued on at the tank drain, so you could just remove a couple of screws from the underbelly, use a flashlight to verify if you do have them.

If you don't have switches in the pass through storage area then they are probably controlled by the inCommand. Here's some info on them.

Each tank has one pad and it should be installed on the deep end of the tank near the tank outlet. It's a small pad only 12" wide by 18" long.

There's a thermostat in the pad that controls the heater operation. It will sense the temperature of the pad and cycle the heater on at about 45 degrees and off at about 67 degrees.

They are 12 volt DC powered 65 watt pads that draw 4.8 amps each.

Having them on with an empty tank won't hurt anything as the thermostat will shut it off at 67 degrees.
