No power

New Rv er here. We opened our trailer for the first time this year ( was delivered and set up for us last year). One we plug in and attach the battery we still have no power to the fridge, thermostat and we noticed we only have a few things working on our control panel (slides and awning work but not hot water tank or outdoor lights). We have changed fuses and still nothing. Any ideas?

Morning.. when you get time please update your signature block to indicate the year, make and model of your RV and tow vehicle.. this makes it easier to help with correct answers..

First thing to check is battery cutoff switch.. needs to be ON

If plugged into shore power then you should have 12 volts to everything regardless of the battery cutoff switch position as well as 120 volts

Are you plugged in to a 120 volt pedestal?

When you installed the battery, are you sure you hooked it up right? If you even touched the negative lead to the positive post for an instant, you will blow the reverse polarity fuses.

Reverse polarity fuses are either off to the left of the row of fuses ( probably 30 amp) or on the back side of the converter.

Thank you l I have now updated my signature. Do you happen to know where the switch is on this model? We di have power to outlets and lights and the microwave. We even unhooked the battery with no change to power.

It’s either the bottom half of the power distribution panel (breakers and fuses) or near it. You may have to remove the panel to find it.

Do you have 50amp service? Turn pedestal breaker off and on again.

Are all breakers in your electrical panel on?

Were the fuses that you replaced blown?

As mentioned, is your battery connected correctly? ( reversed polarity )
