Ceiling power vent install

We'll be picking up a new fifth wheel on Monday. There is only a manual crank vent in the bedroom ceiling without a fan. I'd like to install a 12 volt Turbo/Maxx. Is 12 volt power usually wired to the vent inside the ceiling and terminated or is it necessary to fish a power line to the fuse panel?

Thanks
Dave

Dave, Once you remove the inside vent trim you should be able to see some 12v. wiring. Usually for interior lighting. Depending on the amperage draw of your fan you should be able to tap off of this. Use a circuit tester to locate the fuse that controls that wire ... do not increase fuse size if not adequate ... look for another wire ... perhaps the bath vent if close enough. On my Cougar this is where I tapped off for my fan. Your model may be different. Hope this helps, Hank

Thank you Hank. It didn't occur to me to go that route. I feel better now thinking there may be a good source nearby rather than having to run a new line all the way.
