Hurcules H901
just put on hurcules h901 on my cougar 333 mks. They are an all steel 14 ply tire, American made. They are made by Cooper, have a 5 year warranty on them. So far so good, much better than any of the 10 y tires we have been through.

I'm pretty sure they are built in a China plant. You can confirm that by checking the plant code on the tire. All tires have a plant code on their sidewall, they can't be sold in the USA without one.

According to our friend Google, Cooper and Goodyear are the only American Tire Company, meaning American owned and located. However the Hercules H901 and others are made in one of their China plants.

I had the same tires installed over a year ago and so far they have been great.
And fyi, they are not manufactured in China. It is stamped right on the tire: Made in Thailand.
I wrote down every word stamped on my tires so I'd have all the information, and here is what it ALL says:
Trailer Tires
Hercules H-901
All Steel Radial
DOT 1YC 2ARHHE
Made in Thailand
Regroovable
All Steel
ST235/80RR16
128/124L
Rim 6.50
Tubeless
*Tire failure due to underinflation / overloading or misapplication – follow tire placard instructions in vehicle
Check inflation pressure frequently with an accurate guage
*Explosion of tire / rim assembly due to improper mounting – only specially trained persons should mount tires
When mounting use safety cage and clip-on extension air hose to inflate
L.R.G
14PR
Plies: Tread Steel 4 sidewall steel 1
Max. load single 3970 LBS (1800 kg) at 105 PSI (725 KPC) Cold
Max. load dual 3525 LBS (1600 kg) at 105 PSI (725 KPC) Cold
Brand lightly here.
All I know is, they are one good looking tire. Very deep tread, after thousands and thousands of miles, so far, not a hint of wear anywhere. I am now keeping them aired up to 90 PSI.
And another FYI, I purchased mine from a tire company that deals only with Semi Truck tires and semi trucks and trailers, not family cars and trucks. So, actually, these tires are meant for commercial use, although they can be used on non-commercial trailers.

I can see the plant code on one of your pictures. It's 2A and here is the breakdown.

David, I don't believe anyone here is bashing your favorite tire brand, simply stating that it is made in China.....Taiwan/China, all semantics. If I wasn't running Goodyear G114's I'd return to Sailuns. Yep, made in China. No problem with the made in China. And I'm not so certain that the 'made in USA' stamp on products means all it used to. We see more and more products labeled 'assembled in America.' Verbal trickery to make the consumer think it is made in America when it wasn't. Here's to the continued good service you've gotten with your H901's.

I have Hercules tires on boat trailer. Different tire than mentioned, ST tire ST205/75/R14s. STR model. Dated 2014.
2014's code come back to China
They dropped that tire and replaced it with STR2
I have 2 of those made in 2016 and they are printed on sidewall "Made in Thailand"

Date Code?
Hey, I know that this is an older thread but thought I'd check anyway because I've had the exact same tires put on my 40' Montana since May of 2017.
The tires still appear to be in excellent shape from visual inspection but I'm getting antsy as I've read elsewhere that I should change out my trailer tires after 3-5yrs from date of mfg.
But, I started looking for the DOT date code on mine and it has all the same verbage as printed above but none of that looks like a date code that I can match up to anything. Does anyone have any info on where to find this? TIA

Still, happy with my 17.5" LR H Hercules. Installed early this year. A round trip from Houston area to Virginia, another to Knoxville Iowa and now to Kansas City.
I aired them up to 125 psi and hit the road.

When I was still working I used to carry a phone, a digital camera, flaslight, laptop, and often a level, 100' tape measure, IR gun, etc. when visiting commercial sites under construction and at delivery. When the "smart phones" came around (first was a "crackberry" for me) it lightened the load. I became accustomed ti reaching for the phone as a camera and a light quickly but it took a while before I stooped trying to flip it open and closed.

Now if the next iteration would only include a 1/4" hex drive and a flat & phillips bit holder I'd buy it!
