power king tow max st tires

I lost 3 towmax tires in 2 weeks. ST235/80R16s had 12000mi. on them. When removing the others, 2 more had tread separation and were ready to blow. I replaced them with 6 LT235/85R16s. I will try them out this weekend.

Good call. I did the same with mine. Had the dealer install LTs when I took delivery of the fiver. So far, so good. It's reassuring to have a set of real tires under all that weight.

If I had a heavyweight trailer, I'd do the same. However, my trailer runs 14" wheels and there's not a lot out there that'll fit. Not much better in the 15" world, either.

I just recently had the same issues with my Towmax tires that had only 6000 miles on them and I replaced all of them with LT235/85R16's also. Hopefully will get to try them out in two weeks.

That is an ugly looking tire

You look like you have the same rim I have on my Fuzion. If it is, it can handle the 110psi G rated LT tires. I am having very good luck so far with the Sailun brand. http://www.gosailun.com/Tires/Sailun/All%20Position/335

Any tire dealer that can get tires from caroll tire can order them.

Other brands to consider in the G rated tire are GoodYear ($$$$) and Geostar.

We went to 17.5" GY G114 before our Fuzion's maiden voyage. Left tire is OE 16" Carlisle. Looked into 16" replacements but IMHO 17.5s were the best choice for what our vacation, toys, fun roll down the road on. I have had my share of tire failures on each of our previous RVs. Looking back at the "fun" we had dealing with failed tires, the price for a set of 17.5s was worth the peace of mind.
