If it doesn't, it's a triple axle Airstream being towed by a Buick Enclave. Pulled in next to me at a campground and I managed to get a clip of them leaving.

They had a Hesnsley so all was okay.......
I don't see anything wrong with that. It's towing it very well. I bet there's holes in the floor of the TV for extra human stopping power.
Umm Fred Flintstone maybe ?

That’s too big of a trailer for that little car. I guarantee you are way exceeding the tow limit. The gross weight of that trailer is 7300 lbs. the base weight is 4300 lbs. if your vehicle says it will tow 5000 lbs you are still running overweight once you put passengers luggage and stuff in the camper and vehicle.
If you got squraly doing down hill The tail is wagging the dog. VERY DANGEROUS TOW SITUATION
I guarantee that if you have an accident your insurance WILL NOT COVER IT.
Get yourself larger tow vehicle.

I wonder if I put a 5th wheel hitch on the roof of my station wagon. It does have a Ford 460.

I think some RV salesmen are willing to say and do anything to make the sale, but I'd like to believe that some also have the integrity to do what's right for the customer. When we bought our TT I did the research myself to make sure we were good to go. My Chevy dealer gave me the exact specs on the tow capabilities of my Silverado. I then deducted 20% of that number to give me a tolerance for hills and mountains. I actually have closer to 30% tolerance, makes for a pretty comfortable tow. People should really do there homework before they start dragging several tons behind them.

I think this has been done with " full tongue in cheek " but I could be wrong. Things like this are not that surprising I guess.

Wow. That’s a big TT on a little TV. BTDT and don’t want to ever again.

I saw this at the market about a week ago. Where did they even get a hitch for a corvette?

On another manufacturers forum there is on going discussion about using a 250/2500, gas or diesel, to tow heavy fifth wheels, pin wt around 3000 and GVWR on the fiver of 15,000 to 16,000 with a GCW of around 24,000 lbs. Just put air bags on the truck, it will do just fine the sales people will say.
Well, I have one of those heavy fifth wheels and a Ram 3500 with the HO Cummins and AISIN transmission. I would never consider pulling my rig with a 250/2500 especially on Monarch Pass. The sales person when I was shopping asked right up front, what is your tow vehicle and can it handle this RV legally...

Max, if you had been an RV'er back 'in the day' you would have known this was a reality. "News of the Weird"

Yup, "Back when we were young" there were several "novel and unique" ways to RV. There were Shadow trailers that attached to a rooftop hitch and, an even more unique way to travel was a "cab-over camper" that attached to the back of the family station wagon.

Not surprised, 1974 VW bugs were mechanical beasts that had way more payload and towing capacity than any of these puny one ton diesel duelly rigs that you see people trying to tow with nowadays ...

That would work well with your Prius, as long as you have the gas version. An all electric Prius would only have a range of about 150' with a large fifth wheel hitched to that dolly. Great for getting your rig to the campground exit, but probably not onto the freeway..... Gas version: Probably get it at least to the next gas station. Now if you had a Tundra, you could tow the Space Shuttle.

I read somewhere (I think on the internet) that Prius is coming out with a twin turbo version. Now that changes everything with the above mentioned setup.

You guys are all missing the point that the picture is misleading and the car is not even hooked to the camper. You can see the stabilizers are down on the camper and the hitch is sitting on a block of wood. The car just happens to be backed up to the camper but isn't towing it! You've all been duped!
