I would recommend 4 mile creek state park. Its clean, has clean facility's, is very close and right on lake ontario. We stayed there last year and had a great time despite being rained on lol.

The fresh water fill area was a little different than I am used to. Typically we find one located in the area of the dump station or nearby. At this park they have a few different ones, all spread out around the park. It feels odd pulling over to fill up right off the lane to your campsite but I guess that is just how they do it.

We did this last year. From northern Bucks County we took 78 to 81 to 90. NY roads were bad...very bumpy. The MCD shade over the dinette fell off.

I81 may be too far east for you....

We stayed at Branches of Niagara RV Park. A private RV park, close to the falls on the US side. A fairly new park, very friendly staff and a lot to do for the kids. Our only regret we didn't bring the grandkids.
