Removing Oven from Atwood Range

We never use our oven and we started wondering if the cook top can easily be separated from the oven. If the oven could be removed, it would allow us to add an extra drawer under the cook top.

Has anyone taken on this type of project of have any insights?

I don't believe that the oven separates from the cooktop, but on some models it may. You can remove the existing range and install a replacement cooktop that is approximately the same look as your existing cooktop. Here is a link to information on the appliance:

We have done it in a few motor homes. The oven/cooktop is a single unit so you will need a new cooktop. Make sure you have a leakdown test done after replacing the appliance. Might be worth a 1/2hr charge to have a dealer do it. Actual test only takes 3 minutes, we keep the gauge hooked up for 10.
