Hot water pressure bypass leak fixed

Seeing as i am hooked up to city water connection full time i noticed that the hot water bypass always seeped after running hot water. Checked with manual and dealer, both said this will happen with city water. So to keep water from building up, i installed a drain of sorts.

It is possible that the reason it is leaking is that there is no room for the hot water to expand. one of the heater manu. has put instructions on their web site to stop the problem, if I can remember long enough I will post the info.

yes, there is a way, but as i am living in it full time i don't want to have to keep putting air pocket in daily. easier just to make a drain. lol

Good Idea. One of our concerns is the occasional puddle of water in the bottom of the W/H 'pan'. Your idea solves that problem - for sharing!

I noticed that mine was starting to get rust spots in the pan even though trailer is only a few months old. If i need too, i can always buy a replacement door to fix the hole.
