Question cable signal booster

Hi, we are parked for awhile at a small KOA in Central California. We are having a bit of a problem with a not so clear picture coming from their cable TV. It would be great if someone might have an idea how to boost the signal to clean up the picture. Sound is fine. But the TV is just slightly snowy.

turn off antenna booster

I believe your antenna booster needs to be turned off when you're hooked up to cable. It's the little button near the outlet where there the television is plugged in and there is a 12-volt receptacle. It should display a green (or maybe red) light when it's on.

With ant. booster off .....
First, you should check that you are using RG6 or RG6U cable to connect to the CG source and to the tv.
Next, ask at the CG if others are having the same problem. If you are paying for cable in your daily fee, it should be usable.
Last, You can buy a signal amplifier for cable tv in any "Home" store or Radio Shack type store for under $30. This should boost your signal enough to make it acceptable. If you have a signal now, 10 to 15 db gain should be good. JM2˘, Hank

Sirbryson, Howdy;

Also, it could be the coax connector. As it's been screwed on and off more
the a few times it may be loosing it's ground, the wire may have been driven
over at least once in it's lifetime. Any number of things that will make the cable
itself less than optimal. All things you may consider before you go making any
'demands' from the camp management. Look for any sharp bends or signs of
discoloration where it (cable), may have been pinched or kinked, look for abrasions
where it may have been run over because someone didn't take an extra few
seconds to ensure it was properly and securely put away once or twice in it's lifetime.
All things to take into consideration.

If you can, Connect a TV right at the campground cable connection to make sure your rigs wiring is not the problem. If it's snowy there then get the campground to get someone to fix it. If it's not snowy, troubleshoot your wiring.
